We are a vibrant family of hope-filled believers who experience the gracious love of God as we partner with Jesus to show the joy and power of His kingdom.
The State and County Government have issued a Shelter-in-Place rule that prohibits all public gatherings through April 30. The elders and staff of LMC have been closely monitoring the situation. In accordance with Romans 13, we are committed to honoring and cooperating with government directives that are designed for the protection and well-being of our community. Therefore, until further notice we are canceling physical church services in our building.
However, we will continue
to live-stream our Sunday service starting at 9:30 a.m. on Facebook. Just search for, or follow, Lihue Missionary Church. The live-stream will
include all the components of a normal service: announcements, worship, and a
sermon. Afterward, we will load the sermon and notes on this website and the entire service onto www.youtube.com/user/lihuemc
If you are a part of LMC, we encourage you to tithe electronically on the "Give" page of this website, or via mail to PO Box 746, Lihue 96766. Our Kingdom mission continues, and so do our bills, salaries, and support for missionaries.
There is no reason to fear or panic. God is still in charge and working all things for the good of those who trust in Him. He is with us and watching over us. Most likely, things will settle back to normal relatively soon. But even in a worst case (and highly unlikely) scenario, death will simply usher a believer into the presence of Jesus forever. Which, when you think about it, is the best thing that could happen to you.
If you are not sure where
you would go if you died, now is a great time to give it some serious thought.
Jesus has promised that all who come to Him will never be turned away. Cling to Him in Faith. Trust in Him as your Lord (the Son of God and
ruler over all things) and your Savior (who died to take the just punishment
for your sins, so that you can be pardoned and have eternal life with God). There
is a lot of fear in the world, but we can at peace because we know the true and
living God, who loves and died for us. Therefore, we have nothing ultimately to be afraid of.
